Lydia’s House of Hope would not be possible without the generous support of many local businesses who donate time, funding, and goods to our program and our residents. We have been so blessed by these partnerships, and this Thanksgiving season we wanted to extend a special note of gratitude for all the generous support we have been blessed with recently, in spite of the challenges of our current moment.

We are over the moon excited to share with you that Lydia’s House of Hope’s logo will be traveling four million miles across the country on PS Marston (Abenaqui Carriers) oil tankers this year, spreading seeks of faith, like our own Johnny Appleseed, as the tankers travel from state to state, city to city! “Tank” you very much to P.S. Marston for such a creative and impactful idea.

Lydia’s House of Hope is a nonprofit, dependent on the very thing our residents need most—love that moves ordinary people to do extraordinary things. Planet Fitness CEO Chris Rondeau and his employees have blessed us with a Market Basket gift card to fund our Thanksgiving dinner, ensuring there will be a table set with a feast fit for queens (and little princesses and princes!).

We are so grateful for Chris’ personal touch in making it a tradition to bless our women and children with gifts for Christmas. It is most heartwarming to know he wraps each gift himself and hand delivers them, looking each woman and child in the eye as he blesses them with Christmas gifts sharing hope and Christmas cheer with our residents.

These women and children come to us often with little else than the clothes on their backs, often homeless and carrying heavy baggage and hopelessness on their shoulders. Though every woman and child is different in what they may need and in their stories, the one universal is that they all need love.

Thank you to Scott Cornell who continues to be one of our consistent and faithful supporters! Not only does he and his family make sure some of our bedrooms are ready for new families, but he has volunteered to provide professional guidance and continues to adopt some of our families, ensuring they have a fun and magical Christmas.

There is a grandness to each and every single act of kindness—from donated time, baby clothes, meats, vegetables, diapers, toiletries, furniture, and lightbulbs to the gallon of milk donated each week for our children. No donation goes to us but through us!

How we thank God for the love, kindnesses, and generosity He has bestowed upon Lydia’s House of Hope through the loving hearts of so many like our Luis and Ramona Valdez (Loco Coco’s Tacos) and William and Mary Schleyer (Schleyer Foundation) who continue to support us all year long, quietly doing God’s work.

There are no earthly words that can reach the depth of our gratitude. The truth is that we have been overwhelmed with joy, thanks, and reverence for the hearts that so generously provide for the women and children at Lydia’s House of Hope.
